OUR ITINERARY APPROACH

Why Connection Matters More Than Destination Rankings

Most travel guides treat islands like museum rooms: they list the top ten beaches or the five busiest harbour promenades without asking how a sailboat progressing at six knots actually links them together. On the water, a gorgeous bay on the windward side of an island is useless when a 22-knot northerly swell is rolling straight into its entrance.

Bexumirounduppi was created as an independent editorial folio for bareboat skippers, flotilla planners, and private charter crews who want to think through the whole week before casting off. We look at island chains as connected systems—where each morning passage, noon swimming shelf, and evening berth sets up the next day's options.

Editorial Standards // Clear Distinctions

SEPARATING INSPIRATION FROM NAVIGATION

Every route spread on our site adheres to three strict editorial principles:

  1. Realistic Daily Cadence: We never publish itineraries that require six hours of relentless motoring against prevailing winds just to photograph a famous landmark. Every sample loop respects daylight arrival windows and crew energy.
  2. Harbour-and-Bay Alternation: We pair lively port stops (where you can top up freshwater tanks, plug into 220V shore power, and dine ashore) with quiet anchorages and midday swimming bays so the voyage breathes.
  3. Schematic Clarity vs. Hydrographic Charts: Our flat vector island silhouettes and signal-red route diagrams make regional geometry legible at a glance. However, they are intentionally schematic and non-navigational. Once on board, your passage plan must always rely on official admiralty or hydrographic charts, local pilot books (such as Rod Heikell's Greek Waters Pilot or Chris Doyle's Cruising Guide to the Leeward Islands), and live marine weather broadcasts.

Bexumirounduppi is an independent publishing project and is not affiliated with any yacht brokerage, marina chain, or charter fleet operator. Our focus remains squarely on the craft of ordering your stops well.
